Need to edit the drop down UI element property in SAP standard webdynpro FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA

HI Expert ,

  We have tried  to edit the existing drop down UI element property in  standard webdypro component (FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA) to add the On Select Event into the UI property but we got failed .

We need to do some action when the drop down  value changes and currently the drop down UI element property does not have On Select Event . So that we tried to enhance the UI.

Can you please help me to meet our requirement? .

is it possible to edit existing drop down UI element property in  standard webdypro component??
