KAPSEL version not updating to 3.11

Hi,

 

I have tried installing three different versions of SMP Mobile sdks

but every time I check the kapsel version, its 3.10.0.

Is there a way to update the kapsel version independently or should it be bundled in the SMPInstaller itself?  I am trying to use a HAT(Hybrid App Toolkit) connection to connect my sap-web ide development to my local machine and the HAT installer throws the below error. I am using HAT v1.14.4

I have tried uninstalling the old version and installing a new one. the issue still persists.

Error in S/4 HANA: Define a cost element category for account && (controlling area &&)

Hi Gurus,

 

I`m facing an error when trying to post an FI doc through FB50 with below entries.

 

Cr: Cash account

Dr: Expense account (with cost center entered)

 

Message no. KI280 is issued, preventing the posting. Define a cost element category for account && (controlling area &&).

 

Any idea why this happens, when we no longer need to create cost element in S/4 HANA? How to handle this error?

2 Subreports in the one Report

Hi.

 

I have a question about how to deal with  2 Subreports in Crystal Report.

 

I set 2 subreports in 1 report at the details section. It was successful.

 

However, when the reports have 2 or more pages, one subreport rides another subreport like the figure.

 

I'd like the report like this image;

How can i solve this problem?

Inventory count for WM managed serialized material

Hello,

 

We have the following functionalities active in SAP:

1. Warehouse Management

2. Serialized parts

3. Catch Weight Management.

 

We are trying to determine how anyone has solved cycle counting for serialized parts in a system with catch weight management active.

 

When clearing count documents using LI21N SAP gives an error "Maintain Serial number for total quantity".

SAP's solution - OSS 559531 - is to use LI20 or report RLLI2100 to post these in the foreground and enter the serial number.

Unfortunately, L210 and this report seems to call MB11, which is incompatible with Catch Weight Management.

LI20 switches to MIGO and there is not data on the screen.

 

What are the best practices to:

1. count serialized parts in a catch weight managed system?

2. count serialized parts in a WM system?

How to link two workflow instances of same workflow templates ?

Hello,

 

I have a approval workflow using transaction FMBB. Whenever  a document is preposted, a workflow is triggered (Instance 1) for approval. When approver  rejects it, user will create a new document using this as reference and pre-post it. This pre-posting will create a new instance (Instance 2)of workflow and trigger the same.

 

I want to find a link between the two instances i.e. that Instance 1 is the creator of Instance 2,  so that i can use the content of Instance 1 into Instance 2 using SWW* system tables.

Sybase WSB setup on ASE 16.0

downloaded the free copy of ASE 16 available at SAP site and I was testing warm standby setup on Linux with replication server 15.7.

 

- Installed sybase server sby01 using ASE 16.0 and create database db01

- Installed second sybase server syb02 using ASE 16.0 and create database db01

- At this point no other ASE 16.0 options is enabled i.e HADR mode is -1 and not enabled.

- Installed reserver rs01

- Added db01 database on syb01 as active in rs01 repserver : Successful

 

Now while adding db01 on syb02 as 'standby' it give error message

"WARNING: 'Create failed because Log transfer for database syb02.db01 is off'"

 

While i tried the setup on ASE 15.7 and I have no problem creating WSB setup. Seems HADR is somehow preventing database to be added as standby though it is not even enabled. Any clues where to look at, I checked there are no connections for syb02 and do not see any reference in rssd tables for syb02.

 

This is just test and want to know why I cannot setup WSB using ASE 16.0 free developer edition where as it works for free ASE 15.7 developer edition.

SAPBPS00 vs SAPLPS00 (LAS1 vs LAS2)

We have successfully tested and setup LAS2 for Takt Time Scheduling.

 

We are now attempting to automate with the same parameters in LAS1.

 

When punching in the parameters the same way as LAS2 - we get the message that there are no orders found.

 

However, there are plenty of orders available in LAS2.

 

What would be the reason that LAS1 and LAS2 are generating different results?

 

 

There does not appear to be a lot of postings on this subject.

Job Chain should run for every 2 hours even the previous jobs still active

Hi Team,

 

We have an requirement to run the Job/Job chain for every 2 hours even though if previous job still running. When we use the Submit frame with every 2 hours element, job is skipping the intervals if previous jobs still active

 

Ex.  Job ABCD submitted with 2 hours submit frame 12:00 am, 2:00am, 4:00am........

        if the 12:00am job still running for more then 2 hours and complete by 2:20am then  2:00am schedule is getting skipped and job is getting

        scheduled for next run @ 4:00am

 

          I have tested by adding Runtime limit of Maximum 2:00 hours, 4  and triggered Event to submit the same job(duplicate of original) and its working           fine if it first job crosses 2 hours, but if the same original job running for more then 4 or 6 hours its still skipping the 4/6 schedules

 

We need same job ABCD to be submitted for every 2 hours schedule without skipping even if previous job is still active as below.

00:00 2:00 4:00 6:00 8:00 10:00 12:00pm 14:00 16:00 18:00 20:00 22:00

 

Please let me know how can we achieve our requirement to run the job as above schedules.

error message of shortfall against shelf life during goods receipt

Hi Gurus,

 

during a goods receipt am getting the error message shortfall of xxxx days against remaining shelf life in current item (360days). So I checked the mm03 to view the remaining shelf life which is 360 and total shelf life which is 365. And during the goods receipt using vl32n I entered the manufacturing date as 24.04.2016 and the expiry date as 24.04.2017 and it prompts an error saying shortfall of xxxx days against remaining shelf life in current item (360)

Is GRANT_ACTIVATED_ROLE a mandatory step to work on DB catalog operations ?

Hello HANA Experts,

 

Just started off with modelling topics and I see that the schema, tables and views are owned by the system user _SYS_REPO and I just understood that to make the necessary operations on these data dictionary object., we need to create the roles and assign these roles to our user ids. I was able to create the roles. However, I am unable to assign them as I do not have access to SYSTEM user id. Thus, I would like to know if there is any other way to achieve this without accessing the SYSTEM user id ? Or is a mandatory step to get this done via SYSTEM user id ?

Decision table not work as per conditions

Hi All,

 

In our project we have created following decision table for Class value derivation:

 

BLCATDA_FNKDAKTClass
In KA; NKLike *Like *AAAA
In JA; JKLike *Like *BBBB

 

Based on BLCAT, DA_FNK and DAKT values we derive value of Class. But we are getting following values for class in data.

Outgoing Payment for Vendor with Payment on Account

I'm trying to create via the DI an Outgoing Payment for a Vendor with a Payment on Account but can't find the corresponding field.

 

In the SAP B One client screen for outgoing payments, you can select "Vendor" and will find then a checkbox and text field for "Payment on Account".

 

What are the corresponding fields in the DI?

Issue while doing goods issue to production order.

When doing MIGO against order, the material quantities are not reflecting in the Production order actual quantities.

Upon checking the material document, I see that the CO document is debit the cost center instead of production order. When changed the default account assignment in OKB9 to order then the CO document is debit the production order.

For every production order I cannot go and change the OKB9 settings.

 

Please let me know if there is any setting that needs to done so that the CO document will debit the prod, order.

How may I set programatically Visible property for all User Defined Fields in Settings - Fields - Setup of my addon's forms ?

Hello everyone

 

I want to process operation like this below, but programatically using API in C#.

 

So imagine that I have installed my addon which I am developing.
Then opening one of my own forms I can open side panel by clicking User-Defined Fields from View tab.
Then focusing any field on my opened form I can open form Settings - Fields - Setup where I have list of my UDF objects and I can set Visibility and Activity, Order and Categories for each.

 

So I want to set Visibility for false for all user fields while the addon is installing.

 

I would be really thankful if someone may show me how I can access this property and change it.

 

I have been trying several times, however without success.
Moreover by reading and searching I know another solution to make new category, label all udfs with such a category and then disable them ?

However I would prefer to make it the way I have described above.

SAP Cloud SDK : Create/ Generate PDF using button and add into the attechment component in Custom Business Object

Hi Experts,

 

I have created the custom business object with attachment using  [DependentObject(AttachmentFolder)] node Attachment at root level in my custom business object i have add 2 actions 1) Generate PDF 2) Send Email with Attachment.

 

I have created the PDF form using create form and i have also design and Activate , Deploy Business Configuration.

my current functionality i have make preview button and it is working fine.

 

But

 

I want to generate PDF with content and after generating that pdf add under the AttachmentFolder component in my BO.

also i want to send email with attached pdf from AttachmentFolder component in my BO on action Send Email with Attachment.

 

To generate PDF using absl i have write code under the action Generate PDF

I am using the yello highlighted code under the absl.

 

When i click on generate PDF button i can not see any pdf document in attachment component.

Can anyone help me why the above code is not add the pdf into the attachment component as shown above?

 

1) What are the steps required when i click on button "Generate PDF" the pdf create with content and add under the Attachment component ?

2)  If my business object is below then how to use the attachment component ( Add generated PDF , read PDF to send email with attachment ) etc...

Hi Expert,

 

We are planning to install and configure DM on a POC System.

 

We have downloaded the installation package from the  SAP product Availability Matrix.

 

But the installation Package does not contain an EXE file.

 

Question : How to install such package on a server if there is no exe file ?
